on my journey through the mountains i had been wondering what i would see. Great chasms that tell of wars between the tectonic plates, hidden valleys with peoples unchanged by the moving of time. Views of the world that would force me into a new perspective. But no, i found a naked little gremlin man. His head was bald except for a bundle of hair at the nape that was braided into a long tail. His face was childlike in a horrific way for though his eyes were big and innocent his cheeks and forehead were covered in wrinkles you would think a drought had hit him. His mouth was missing some teeth but on the sides he had these saliva drenched tusks. The rest of his body was naked but monkey like with both his hands missing one finger and somehow for some reason his feet gaining one. This 4 fingered 7 toed creature beckoned me to follow at first sight with some strange mix of screeches muttering and hand movement. Against better instincts i followed him. How i wish i would have kept my composure had i not discovered what i know now! The gremlin man led me over rock and under more rock until i nearly forgot what greenery was. At the last cave entrance he turned around with great sterness. His face was filled with pride and sentiment. As if he waited his entire existence for this moment, this right of passage.
He muttered some words i couldnt understand and led me once more into this cave which seemed to be his dwelling. Animal rugs and ornamental stones were hung and placed along the walls, the floor had a variety of leaves dirt and more animal skins to mimick some kind of carpet. As the cave widened we entered the center of his quarters. in the middle of the circular rock formation was placed a glass ball. the creature summoned me closer and began to cheer and spasm uncontrollably in pure ecstacy and glee. I put my disgust aside for my curiousity and glanced into the bal. And then i saw it. Existence as far as the eye could see, people's lifes their beginning and the end. nebula's and grand star systems stretched out in front of me. Wonders i could not explain. I turned back to the creature and instantly came to a horrific understanding of this situation. It was this goblins sandbox. all of life, was his doing.
